Why did I receive a security code by email?

Two-factor authentication is an additional security measure to protect your customer account in our Breuninger online shop.

If we notice a login to your account from a new device, we will send you a security code by email.
Please complete the registration in your customer account by entering this security code within 1 hour.
You can then access your customer account as usual.

Still having trouble logging into your account? This could be due to the following reasons:

You have several email addresses saved in your customer account.
You have the option to save different email addresses in your customer account:

  • An email address as a user name for logging into your customer account
  • An email address for notifications (for receiving a range of emails, such as order confirmations)

Please note that this security code will be sent to your "Email for notifications" if you have two different email addresses in your customer account.
Please check all your email inboxes.

The security code is not valid.
The security code loses its validity after 1 hour. If this is the case, you will see this notice when you enter the security code on the login page.
Here you have the option to request a new code by email.

If you have received or requested multiple emails with a security code, please also check that you are using the latest code.
